Dazzle or Glare Free Floodlighting
The unique white light-permeable balloon diffuses and distributes light evenly around the light source. Since the diameter of the balloon creates the effect of a bigger light source, shadows become softer and almost disappear. There are no disturbing silhouettes with highly contrasting areas which can confuse or dazzle the human eye.
This reduced shadow effect along with the high quality white light, comes very close to approximating daylight quality light.
In contrast to traditional floodlights, the light produced is pleasant to the eye and allows one to look directly at the balloon with no blinding effects.
The anti-dazzle effect of Powermoon® floodlights not only improve the ability to see but will increase safety for oncoming traffic when Powermoons are positioned alongside the road or rail track. This will result in reduced eye-strain for workers and therfor improved worker performance as the eye need not continually adapt to big changes in contrast.
Effective, Eco Friendly & Energy Efficient Lighting
The lower half of the Powermoon® distributes the light, while the top half, specially coated in high quality aluminium, acts as the internal reflector providing high downward floodlight efficiency. In addition this prevents light pollution above the horizontal line.
Since the balloon disperses light in 360º, fewer lights are required to light a similar area than traditional floodlighting. Additionally, a construction height of 3 to 5 metres provides optimal distribution of light. Other well known floodlight solutions only achieve this distribution at a height of 10 to 15 metres.
