The Powermoon Start falls into this category. Although we provide tungsten halogen lights if you require, we do not recommend them.
Using our specialised HMI lamps & HQI lamps (described below) you can achieve a much higher light efficiency for the same power consumption and price.
This translates to big cost savings for you not only in energy consumption, but the purchase of smaller cheaper generators. Your staff too, will be grateful for the lighter weight of the generators they have to lug around with them.
The reality is, our tungsten halogen lights serve as a good comparison against our competitors. You should view it this way too.
HID Lighting (High Intensity Discharge)
HQI Lamp (Metal Iodide)
This is used by the Profi 1 luminaire. These lights are extremely energy efficient and offer the best value for money of all the Powermoon product range.
HMI Lamp (Metal Halide)
The Superlight Master & Maxum fall into this category. These lights are considered our daylight quality lights. They would be used for large scale incidents where quantity of light is the most important factor. While not as cheap as the HQI lamps, they still provide excellent value for money and have the advantage of illuminating massive areas with maybe as little as a single light.

So where is the Helimax?
The Powermoon Helimax does not have its own bulb format. The Helimax light cleverly constructed utilises up to 3 HMI lamps inside its 5.5m balloon. This can produces a luminous flux comparable to 50000 Watt halogen floodlights. In this way it is easily possible to illuminate an area 800m in radius with daylight quality light. Within a radius of 1,5 to 2 km light conditions similar to twilight can be reached.
What About Powermoon eVent?
The Powermoon eVent like the Helimax does not have its own bulb technology. It differs only in visual design. The eVent light utilises either the HQI lamps or the HMI lamps specified above.
What do the terms Lumen & LUX mean?
A Lumen represents the total flux of light emitted, equal to the intensity in candelas multiplied by the solid angle in steradians.
It is used for measuring the flux of light being produced by a light source or received by a surface.
1 LUX is defined as an illumination of one lumen per square meter.
It is useful for measuring the the illumination (illuminance) of a surface
